Coventry City announce groundshare at Birmingham City for next season

• EFL ‘reluctantly agree’ club can play home games at St Andrew’s

Coventry City have announced they will play their home games at Birmingham City’s St Andrew’s ground next season, after failing to reach a deal to stay at the Ricoh Arena.

In May, the League One side revealed a provisional groundshare at an unnamed venue had been arranged, but that the club’s intention was to remain at their current home. However, a club statement has confirmed they will now play matches 18 miles away from Coventry.
