West Ham complete signing of Sam Byram from Leeds

• The 22-year-old full-back signs four-and-half-year deal
• Manager Slaven Bilic ‘one of the main reasons’ Byram chose West Ham

West Ham United have completed the signing of the Leeds United full-back Sam Byram for an undisclosed fee.

Everton were also interested in the 22-year-old but the Essex-born defender, who can also play as a wing-back, opted to join the London club on a four-and-a-half year contract.
