Tennis – Tour Finals spot the goal for Bautista Agut

Roberto Bautista Agut, who is 100/1 with bet365 to win the 2020 US Open, is eyeing a place at the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals and wants to qualify for the event before he retires. Spanish ace Bautista Agut has carved out a career as one of the most consistent performers on the ATP World Tour, reaching a career-high ninth in the world rankings in November 2019. The 32-year-old narrowly missed out on a place at the Tour Finals last year after he was pipped to eighth in the Race to London standings by Matteo Berrettini. The Spaniard is currently 20th in the Race to London standings, which decides who competes at the Tour Finals, but hopes to make the elite eight in the future: "I know how difficult it is, I know that I have been very close in some seasons. It's not something I'm obsessed about, but it remains a goal I'd like to achieve some day," Bautista Agut told the ATP World Tour's official website.
