Tennis – Shapovalov ready for Fed

Denis Shapovalov is excited by the prospect of a Miami Open semi-final showdown with his idol Roger Federer, who remains on course for a potential fourth title success in Florida. Left-handed Canadian rising star Shapovalov hit back from a set down to defeat American Frances Tiafoe 6-7 6-4 6-2, while Federer eased into the last four with a 6-0 6-4 victory over Kevin Anderson. And Shapovalov is clearly excited about the chance to take on Federer, telling the official ATP Tour website: "It's definitely a match-up I have been looking forward to my whole life. "It's going to be a dream come true to play him in such a big event. The stakes are so high, semi-final of a Masters 1000 against your idol, it's just a dream come true." The two players have never met before and Shapovalov is 7/2 with bet365 to come out on top, with the teenager 8/1 to prevail in three sets.
