Tennis – Nadal ignores Federer record

Rafael Nadal says he will never focus on trying to match the tally of 20 Grand Slam singles title won by his old foe Roger Federer. Nadal was speaking after clinching an amazing 12th French Open title, a victory which moved his Grand Slam total on to 18, just two behind Federer. However, the Spaniard says he is not motivated by the challenge of trying to match or even surpass the Swiss maestro, insisting that he just continues to try and give his best at all times. He told reporters: "If I catch Roger or not, I am not very worried about it. "You can't be frustrated all the time because the neighbour has a bigger house than you, or a bigger TV, or a better garden. That's not the way that I see the life. "I am going to try my best to keep enjoying tennis, giving myself chances to compete at the highest level and we will see what happens." The King of Clay is available at 11/2 with bet365 to win Wimbledon this summer.
