Tennis – Konta eager for top prize

Johanna Konta remains determined that she claim the Wimbledon title, having been beaten in the semi-finals this year. Konta lost out 6-4 6-2 to five-time champion Venus Williams, but vowed to continue to try and improve her game, having ensured that she will rise into the top five in the world rankings for the first time in her career. A determined Konta, who is 8/1 with bet365 to win the US Open, told reporters: "I'm not satisfied with where I am now. I want to keep pushing myself to be the best I can be. "I definitely have a lot more to improve on. It is exciting for me and exciting for my team." "I feel there is no reason why I would not be in a position to win a title like this one day. Reaching the top five is a nice achievement, but I'm looking to keep getting better."
