Tennis – Injury no worry for Wozniacki

Caroline Wozniacki is confident she can manage a knee problem which has been troubling her during the defence of her WTA Finals title in Singapore. Having lost her tournament opener to Karolina Pliskova, the clash with Petra Kvitova was something of a must-win for Wozniacki, who eventually edged out the two-time Wimbledon champion 7-5 3-6 6-2. And the Australian Open champion was upbeat about the issue with her knee which required medical attention during the second set. She told the official WTA Tour website: "It's the patella which was hurting me. You know, I'm just gonna tape it up, that's worked for me in the past. It worked for me here." Next up for Wozniacki is a meeting with Elina Svitolina - who has won two out of two to top the White Group standings heading into the final round of matches - with the Ukrainian 1/1 with bet365 to win that match.
