Tennis – Federer aims for ninth Wimbledon crown

Roger Federer believes he is playing some of the best tennis of his career after winning his eighth Wimbledon title on Sunday. The Swiss star beat Marin Cilic 6-3 6-1 6-4 to claim his 19th Grand Slam title and second of the year following his triumph at the Australian Open. Federer missed the French Open but is set to be involved in the US Open which he is 9/4 with bet365 to win. One year ago Federer was struggling with knee and back injuries, but said: "It was all about just putting myself in a good physical state that I could compete with the best and play seven times, five sets. That was my goal. I achieved that. "When I showed up at Wimbledon, I was actually already very happy. The goal is definitely to be at Wimbledon again next year to try to defend." Federer can be backed at 11/4 to win the 2018 Wimbledon crown.
