Sydney chosen to host Socceroos’ crucial 2018 World Cup qualifier

  • Australia to play Jordan at ANZ Stadium on 29 March
  • Match could be decisive in Socceroos’ first round qualifying campaign

The Socceroos’ vital World Cup qualifier against Jordan will be played in Sydney. Football Federation Australia (FFA) confirmed on Wednesday that Allianz Stadium will host Australia’s final and potentially decisive game of the first round of qualifiers for Russia 2018.

The 29 March match will follow the 24 March fixture against Tajikistan at Adelaide Oval, and could decide whether Ange Postecoglou’s side finish top of their qualifying group.
