Stanley confident on Hustler chances

January 03, 2015 11:52:08 UK

Trainer Michael Stanley says Hilltop Hustler will be hard to beat in the Hygain Feeds Stawell Pacing Cup on Sunday.

The 2590-metre stand-start race carrying a purse of $25,505, is the feature event on the eight-race program, the club’s annual feature day¬†– part of the TAB.com.au Trots Country Cups Carnival.

Hilltop Hustler will start from a 10-metre handicap and stablemate Allrightythen has drawn four in the cup.

Stanley says Hilltop Hustler especially should prove hard to beat as he knows the track well having won there in the past.

Stanley also expect Allrightythen to be in the mix, despite having a touch of fortune in his last start.

“I held him back from this rather than go to Cobram for their pacing cup,” he said. “He’s won around Stawell before so I knew he’d handle the track there.

“He’s also very good from the stand start.

“Allrightythen was a bit unlucky the other day but most of the field has similar ability to him so he should be thereabouts.

“It would be a very nice race to win.”
