Spain’s Juan Jose Lobato takes Tour Down Under stage two

Juan Jose Lobato launched a withering sprint to win stage two of the Tour Down Under. The Movistar rider beat South African Daryl Impey (Orica-GreenEDGE) by a couple of bike lengths at Stirling in the Adelaide Hills.

Australian Nathan Haas (Cannondal-Garmin) tried to secure the win with a long-range sprint at about 300m to go. But Lobato timed his run to perfection at the end of the 150.5km stage from suburban Unley for his first win of the season.
