Soccer – Wenger focused on Gunners display

Arsene Wenger wants his Arsenal side to focus fully on their own performance and not on opponents Manchester United when the two sides meet on Sunday. The Gunners face a massive task in trying to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League and ensure yet another year of Champions League football - as they currently stand in sixth place in the table and six points shy of fourth place. They play host to fifth-placed United at teatime on Sunday, with Red Devils head coach Jose Mourinho suggesting that he could field a weakened team as he prioritises the Europa League. However, Wenger has refused to read too much into that possibility, telling reporters: "We focus on our own performance and I do not know what Manchester United will do. "The only advantage we can have is to focus on ourselves and not focus on a weaker United. No matter who plays they will have a strong team out."
