Soccer – Tigers turn to Slutsky

Hull City have named the former Russia head coach Leonid Slutsky as their new manager. The 46-year-old succeeds Marco Silva who resigned last month when the Tigers' relegation to the Championship was confirmed. Slutsky was Russia's head coach at Euro 2016 and has also been in charge of CSKA Moscow, FC Moscow and Krylia Sovetov during his managerial career. He said: "I am delighted to become the head coach of Hull City and I am very much looking forward to the challenge of guiding the club back to the Premier League." Hull City can be backed at 5/1 with bet365 to be promoted from the Championship in 2017/18 while Sunderland are 5/1 to go up.
