Soccer – Swans show delights Carvalhal

Carlos Carvalhal was full of praise for his Swansea City side after they secured an 8-1 FA Cup fourth-round replay win over Notts County. Carvalhal gave opportunities to a number of his fringe players and they delivered in style, as the Swans recorded their best-ever win in the FA Cup. He said after a stunning victory at the Liberty Stadium: "I told them before the game that we have a challenge. I am very proud of the players as they accepted the challenge. "They made Notts County look like they are not a good team, but they are a good team. The way we played made the difference and the attitude was fantastic." The Swans are now unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions, with their upturn in form since the arrival of Carvalhal giving them fresh hope in their bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season. City are currently priced at 5/4 with bet365 to be relegated, while they are 8/13 to beat the drop.
