Soccer – Summer talks on the agenda for Allen

Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen is expecting to hold more talks about his future on Merseyside after Euro 2016. The 26-year-old Wales international has one year remaining on his Anfield contract but had discussions with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp about his lack of first-team opportunities in January. "There was a conversation with the club in terms of what the future did hold for me, if I would feature more in the plans moving forward," Allen said. "They made it clear at that stage I wouldn't be moving anywhere and I'm sure it will be a week or two after the Euros before there are any more discussions." Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers signed Allen from Swansea City four years ago for £15million but he has only made 60 Premier League starts for the club. Wales are 4/1 with bet365 to be eliminated from Euro 2016 at the quarter-final stage while Chris Coleman's side can be backed at 6/4 to win their first Group B match in the tournament against Slovakia on 11th June.
