Soccer – Solskjaer thrilled to be given permanent role

Manchester United have handed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a three-year contract after confirming that the Norwegian is now their full-time manager. The 46-year-old was appointed caretaker boss at Old Trafford in December following Jose Mourinho's departure. United have won 14 of their 19 matches in all competitions under Solskjaer and can be backed at 5/4 with bet365 to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season. They are also available at 3/1 to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League by knocking Barcelona out of the competition. "From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club," said Solskjaer. "This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I am beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve."
