Soccer – Sarri: Tiredness behind Juventus loss

Maurizio Sarri blamed fatigue for Thursday's surprise 2-1 loss at Udinese after watching his Juventus side surrender a 1-0 advantage. The Old Lady led through Matthijs de Ligt's first-half goal but Ilija Nestorovski levelled shortly after the break before Seko Fofane netted an injury-time winner for the hosts. A victory would have wrapped up a ninth consecutive Serie A title for the Bianconeri but they will have to wait until at least the weekend to be confirmed as champions. Sarri believes the hectic end to the campaign is starting to take its toll on his squad, who have played 11 matches in all competitions since 12 June and, while the former Chelsea boss admits that every team is in the same boat, he believes that has contributed to a poor run of form. "It’s difficult to find balance at the moment, as everyone in every team is getting tired. We’re also not as aggressive because of that, but I believe organisation is more important than aggression right now." Juventus are 1/4 with bet365 to get back to winning ways when they host Sampdoria on Sunday. The visitors are 10/1.
