Soccer – Salah pace welcomed by Klopp

Jurgen Klopp believes new recruit Mohamed Salah to bring some welcome additional pace to the Liverpool squad next season. Head coach Klopp was keen to add more speed to his Anfield options this summer, with former Chelsea forward Salah drafted in after impressing in Serie A with Roma. And the Egypt international is expected to make a major impact, with the Reds in need of additions to cope with the added pressure of being back in the Champions League next season and 25/1 with bet365 to win the competition. "We said after last season there are a few things we would try to involve in an already really good squad - one of the things was speed." Meanwhile, the Anfield medical team have confirmed that forward Sadio Mane is on track to join up with the rest of the Reds squad for pre-season training in around ten days' time, having recovered from knee surgery.
