Soccer – Rangnick – Werner a good fit for Liverpool

Red Bull Leipzig chief Ralf Rangnick believes that the club's star striker Timo Werner would be a good fit for Premier League giants Liverpool. Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is a long-term admirer of his compatriot and speculation linking the German international with a summer move to Anfield has been rife. The 24-year-old, who signed for Leipzig from Stuttgart in 2016, has been at the forefront of Die Bullen's transformation into genuine Bundesliga title contenders in recent seasons, scoring 71 goals in 118 league appearances for the club since his €10m switch. RB Leipzig head of sport and development Rangnick thinks Werner has the right traits to be a hit at Anfield. Discussing Werner's future, he said: "He would rather fit a club like Liverpool, which is similar to our style of play, but I would prefer him to stay here." Leipzig are 3/10 with bet365 to beat Freiburg on Saturday.
