Soccer – Puel exits St Mary’s

Southampton have started to search for a new coach after parting company with Claude Puel. The Frenchman helped Saints reach the EFL Cup final last term and guided them to eighth spot in the Premier League table but leaves after spending just one season in charge at St Mary's. Southampton appointed the former Nice manager as their new boss last summer after Ronald Koeman left the club to take charge of Everton. Southampton are 8/15 with bet365 to finish in the top half of the Premier League table in 2017/18 and 8/11 to beat Swansea City on the opening weekend of the campaign.
