Soccer – Pep voices set-piece concerns

Pep Guardiola has urged Manchester City to avoid conceding set-pieces, following a tense 2-1 victory at home to struggling West Ham. The Citizens had to come from behind at the Etihad Stadium to restore their eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, with David Silva netting the winner seven minutes from time after the hosts had pushed and probed constantly after half-time. However, amid the joy of a 13th straight league win, Guardiola was also concerned at the concession of an Angelo Ogbonna header just before the interval and he warned that Manchester United will also pose a physical threat in the derby at Old Trafford next Sunday. The Spaniard told BBC Sport: "We spoke a lot about defending set-pieces, but they were taller. It will happen again next week against United, so we have to try and concede fewer set-pieces." City can be backed at 11/10 with bet365 to win at Old Trafford next weekend and are 17/2 to claim another 2-1 victory.
