Soccer – Ole optimistic over Ighalo extension

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the club are in talks over extending striker Odion Ighalo's loan deal at the club. Former Watford marksman Ighalo left the Premier League for China in 2017, first turning out for Changchun Yatai before a move to Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, where he scored ten goals in 17 matches, last year. The Nigerian then moved to Manchester United on loan in January and his deal was set to expire on 31st May but Solskjaer has revealed the club are working on extending his contract until the end of the season. Speaking to MUTV, he said: "We're in dialogue and hopefully [he can stay]. They've been great towards us, his club, and allow him to play for his dream club. Meanwhile, Ighalo's Nigeria are 100/1 with bet365 to win World Cup 2022.
