Soccer – Moyes swoops to sign Everton duo

Sunderland boss David Moyes has strengthened his relegation-threatened squad by signing Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson. The two players move to the Stadium Light from Everton, 13/8 with bet365 to beat Stoke City on Wednesday, where they have been since 2012. Moyes has already snapped up Joleon Lescott this month and sold Patrick van Aanholt to Crystal Palace. "Bryan is a very good player and he'll help us get forward," said Moyes. "He's quick and overall he's a decent left-back. "We've got Darron on an 18-month contract and I think he's a very good footballer. He'll add a bit of quality with his passing and his play and I'd love him to add goals." Sunderland are 1/6 to be relegated this season.
