Soccer – Mkhitaryan closing in on comeback

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho insists Henrikh Mkhitaryan is almost ready to return to first-team action. The 27-year-old Armenia international, who moved to Old Trafford in a £26million summer switch from Borussia Dortmund, has not played since last month's 2-1 home loss to Manchester City because of a thigh injury. He had been expected to return to action on Thursday in the Europa League clash against Fenerbahce, but was not even named on the substitutes bench. "He has to work more to get the intensity and the real fitness to play at the high level," Mourinho said of Mkhitaryan after the 4-1 victory against the Turkish side. "But he is ready. He is ready very soon." United travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday and are 10/1 with bet365 to beat Antonio Conte's side 1-0, while Juan Mata is 5/1 to score at any time in the game.
