Soccer – Loftus-Cheek pushing for England recall

Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek believes he is over his injury troubles as he eyes a place in England's squad for next summer's European Championships, a tournament the Three Lions are 5/1 to win with bet365. Loftus-Cheek became a key player for the Blues last season but has spent all of the current campaign on the sidelines after suffering a ruptured Achilles in a friendly against New England Revolution in May 2019. The 24-year-old is now back to full fitness and is eager to add to the 10 England caps he has already won, which includes being part of the squad that went to the 2018 World Cup. Speaking to Chelsea's official website, Loftus-Cheek detailed his injury hell, but is now ready to push on and make Gareth Southgate's England European Championship squad. "Having the tournament next summer now is a good opportunity for me to stay injury-free, stay healthy and try to play my best football for when the time comes," said Loftus-Cheek.
