Soccer – Klopp proud of Liverpool response

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hailed his players for bouncing back from recent disappointments with a 3-0 win at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday. The Reds ran out comfortable winners in Yorkshire to move five points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham and they are now 2/9 with bet365 to finish in the top four. Having surprisingly lost their previous two matches to Swansea in the league ad West Brom in the FA Cup, Klopp was pleased with the way his team handled another potential banana skin at Huddersfield. The German admits he has seen his team play better and hopes they go up a gear when they face Tottenham in a potentially pivotal match on Sunday. "Of course, that was the reaction we needed to show. That's clear," he said. "I think everybody saw it was not brilliant. It was not our best game we played so far, but it was very mature and, in the end, very deserved. "We had more moments than three goals, but it was difficult to play because they defended well. I'm happy about the result -100 per cent - and most parts of the performance as well.”
