Soccer – Klopp prepared to wait for Sturridge

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has promised to be patient with Daniel Sturridge as the striker attempts to prove he is fit enough to return to Premier League action. Klopp has made it clear that Sturridge's injury woes are a source of frustration for him and the Reds have been linked with a big-money move for Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazilian forward Alex Teixeira. Sturridge has made only six appearances this season and the 26-year-old England international is unlikely to play again before the start of February. Klopp said: "Out of responsibility, we have to do everything we can to give him the physical strength to be able to play Premier League football. "You can't be nearly fit, then playing, then injured again, then nearly fit. We have to be patient. That's not my best skill but in this case I have no other choice." Liverpool, 4/1 with bet365 to finish in the top four this season, can be backed at 17/2 to win 2-0 at Norwich City on Saturday lunchtime.
