Soccer – Klopp expecting to face strong opponents

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp accepts that his side could be handed a tough assignment in the last 16 of the Champions League. The Reds made certain of top spot in Group E by thrashing Spartak Moscow 7-0 at Anfield and will face one of the runners-up when the knockout stages get underway in February. Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Juventus are all possible opponents for the Reds, who are 16/1 with bet365 to win the Champions League outright. Klopp said: "I think it's really strange this year in the different groups - there are a lot of really strong teams. I don't think it's very often you can face Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the last 16 if you win the group. And Juve!" Liverpool can be backed at 2/7 to beat Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Sunday.
