Soccer – Kante keen to make Chelsea mark

Chelsea new boy N'Golo Kante has moved to play down any comparisons between himself and Stamford Bridge legend Claude Makelele. Makelele spent five seasons with Chelsea, winning two Premier League titles and the FA Cup during his time with the club. Like Makelele, Kante plays in a similar midfield role and plays his international football for France but the former Leicester man says that is where the similarities end. "There have been a lot of French midfielders at Chelsea, but they did it their way and I do it my way and I hope I can do good things at Chelsea," he said, as reported by Get West London. "I saw Claude Makelele play in the French national team but before when he played at a club I didn't watch him a lot. "I can't be the same as another player. I am just my way and I will try to improve on that at Chelsea." Chelsea are 4/7 with bet365 to win their Premier League opener against West Ham and 11/2 to win the league title outright.
