Soccer – Kane refusing to give up on Golden Boot

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is confident that he can win the Premier League's Golden Boot this season even though Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has currently scored five more goals than him. The 24-year-old has netted 24 goals this season for the north Londoners and is bidding to finish the Premier League season as the leading scorer for the third successive year. However, Salah took advantage of Kane's recent injury lay-off by scoring five goals for Liverpool during the England international's absence. The Egyptian now looks certain to take the award but Kane, who is 9/2 with bet365 to win it, is remaining hopeful with six matches still to play this season. Kane, who could yet be awarded Spurs' second goal from Saturday's 2-1 win at Stoke City if the club appeal the Premier League Centre's decision to award it to Christian Eriksen, said: "I still believe I can. Obviously as a striker, it would be great to win the Golden Boot again and I will keep working hard from now until the end of the season."
