Soccer – Kane keen to end trophy drought

England captain Harry Kane is desperate for Tottenham to move to the next level in the next few years. Mauricio Pochettino's team, who visit Liverpool on Sunday, are currently third in the Premier League table despite only picking up one point from the last four matches. Spurs have not won a trophy since they lifted the League Cup in 2008 and Kane wants to bring that silverware drought to an end as soon as possible. However, he accepts that it will not be easy as the club will be under financial strain because of their new £1billion stadium. Kane said: "The challenge for us is, can we keep going up and up and up? It's going to be difficult in the next couple of years with the stadium and the finances. "We've done so much in a short space of time. Of course we want to go on to the next level, win the Premier League and win trophies." Kane is 5/1 with bet365 to score the first goal at Anfield this weekend, while Spurs are 5/1 to beat Liverpool.
