Soccer – Howe keen for Mings to return to action

Tyrone Mings is close to a first-team return although he may not be fit enough to return to action this weekend when Bournemouth take on Crystal Palace. The 24-year-old defender, who moved to Eddie Howe's side from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2015, has not played since the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal in early September because of a back injury. Mings has only made ten Premier League matches appearances for the Cherries since he joined the club. "Tyrone is getting closer. He is building up his fitness levels. His back, touch wood, seems much improved so he's on the right lines," said Howe. "It will take him a while to build up his fitness but he needs to be ready as quickly as we can get him." Bournemouth are 11/4 with bet365 to beat Palace and 3/1 to keep a clean sheet against Roy Hodgson's side.
