Soccer – Emery calls for away-day consistency

Unai Emery watched Arsenal defeat Newcastle 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Monday and called on his players to improve their away form in order to secure a top-four Premier League finish. The Gunners claimed a 10th successive league win on home soil for the first time since the 1997-98 season thanks to goals from Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette. It moved the north Londoners into third spot - two points above rivals Tottenham and Manchester United - and 4/9 with bet365 to finish in the top four Champions League qualification places. However, as Arsenal have only managed five away wins so far this term and five of their last seven matches are on the road, the Spanish tactician knows that they must improve away from the Emirates. He said: "Our challenge is to be as consistent away as we are at home."
