Soccer – Dyche hails Ings renaissance

Burnley boss Sean Dyche says he is not surprised to see his former charge, striker Danny Ings, impressing after getting back on track at Southampton. England international Ings spent four years at Turf Moor before joining Liverpool in the summer of 2015, only to see his time at Anfield ruined by a string of injury problems. He moved to the South Coast, initially on loan, in August 2018 and, having put his fitness problems behind him has started to find top form this season. Ings has scored 14 times in the Premier League already this season and will hope to add to that tally when the Saints play host to the Clarets on Saturday. Dyche told reporters: "Really tough injuries he's had and a great mentality to get through them. He has really found his fitness and his form. "He's playing very, very well - not a massive surprise to me. He's a good player, there's no two ways about it." Ings is currently priced at 16/1 with bet365 to finish the season as the leading goalscorer in the Premier League.
