Soccer – Dier thinks home form will be key

Eric Dier believes Tottenham will have to win their last two home Group E fixtures if they are to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League. Mauricio Pochettino's side are currently second in the group after taking four points from their first three matches. They come up against Bayer Leverkusen at White Hart Lane on Wednesday, a team they held to a 0-0 draw in Germany a fortnight ago, before playing Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday. Spurs have failed to win any of their last five matches in all competitions, scoring only three goals in that time, with Dier admitting: "This is a big week for us. Bayer Leverkusen is a massive game. We have two home matches left in the Champions League (Leverkusen and CSKA Moscow) and we have to win them both. "We're still unbeaten in the Premier League, we're positive and looking forward." Spurs are 6/1 with bet365 to score a penalty against Bayer and can be backed at 4/11 to qualify for the last-16 of the Champions League.
