Soccer – De Bruyne open to Kompany reunion

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne has revealed he would consider linking up with former team-mate Vincent Kompany after his time at the Etihad Stadium. Former City skipper Kompany now has a player-manager role at the Belgian giants having ended his successful spell with the Citizens at the end of last season. Meanwhile, De Bruyne continues to shine under boss Pep Guardiola at City, who are 2/5 with bet365 to win the Premier League this season. The 28-year-old has revealed Kompany was a big reason behind his move from Wolfsburg to City and says he would welcome the chance to be reunited with his old skipper at Anderlecht in the future. He told The Sun: "I hope his [Kompany's] career will be just as amazing at Anderlecht as it was at City. I've told him to keep a place in his team for me in a year, or seven, when I'm finished here. "If he does do that for me I will already have my next destination lined up; my next job. "I will definitely miss him being around City."
