Soccer – Coutinho to give his all

Philippe Coutinho has vowed to do his very best for Liverpool, even if he remains uncertain about his long-term future at Anfield. The 25-year-old Brazil international, who signed a new long-term contract with the Reds earlier this year, was a big-money summer transfer target for Spanish giants Barcelona. However, Liverpool stood firm to retain the services of Coutinho, who scored a hat-trick in the 7-0 Champions League thrashing of Spartak Moscow on Wednesday evening. Coutinho, 6/4 with bet365 to score at any time, has admitted that he was interested in a move to the Camp Nou, but says for now he is focused on giving his all for his current club, who play host to Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday. He commented: "I am at Liverpool and I always do my best when I have the opportunity to play, respecting the jersey and the supporters. "I do not know how the future is going to be. What will happen in January, we will know in January. I do not know if there will be an offer."
