Soccer – Conte inks lucrative new deal

Antonio Conte is keen to keep Chelsea at the top of the pile after signing an improved two-year deal at Stamford Bridge. The 47-year-old Italian penned a three-year contract when he arrived at the club last summer but has now agreed a more lucrative deal for the next two seasons. Chelsea won the Premier League title in Conte's first campaign at the club as well as reaching the FA Cup final. "I am very happy to have signed a new contract," he said. "We worked extremely hard in our first year to achieve something amazing, which I am very proud of. Now we must work even harder to stay at the top." Chelsea, 7/2 with bet365 to win the Premier League title in 2017/18, face Arsenal in the Community Shield on 6th August and are 8/1 to beat Arsene Wenger's team 1-0 at Wembley.
