Soccer – Clement seals Abraham coup

Swansea City boss Paul Clement is pleased to have persuaded Chelsea starlet Tammy Abraham to spend the 2017/18 season on loan at the Liberty Stadium. The England Under-21 international, who spent last term on loan at Bristol City, signed a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge before agreeing the temporary switch to the Swans, 9/4 with bet365 to be relegated from the Premier League this season. Clement said: "Tammy was sought after and he had options. I'm just glad that he chose to come here and develop his career with us. "What we are hoping is that we are going to be good for him and he will be good for us." The 19-year-old scored 23 goals in 41 Championship matches for Bristol City last term. Swansea are 17/4 to beat Southampton on the opening weekend of the 2017/18 campaign.
