Soccer – Clement backs Sanches to come good

Swansea City manager Paul Clement has admitted that Renato Sanches' confidence levels are low. The 20-year-old Portuguese star joined the Swans on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich in August but has failed to make an impact in any of his eight appearances for the Premier League strugglers. He was substituted at half time on Wednesday as Swansea lost 1-0 at Chelsea. Clement said of Sanches: "He wasn't injured. He had a poor half, didn't he? "I don't think in any of the games he's played this year he's showed the talent he has. He's a player struggling for confidence. However, we believe we're the right environment to try to get him out of that." Swansea, 4/11 with bet365 to be relegated this term, can be backed at 3/1 to win at Stoke City on Saturday.
