Soccer – Aubameyang completes Arsenal switch

Arsenal, who are 12/1 with bet365 to finish in the top four, have broken their transfer record to sign striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund for £56million. The Gabon international, who scored 141 goals in 213 games for Dortmund, has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners after the switch was finalised on transfer deadline day. The 28-year-old is the second signing made by the north Londoners this month after Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined from Manchester United in a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez move in the opposite direction. The 2015 African footballer of the year could make his debut against Everton on Saturday. Having let Aubameyang leave, Borussia Dortmund have agreed to sign Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi on loan for the remainder of the season.
