Soccer – Alli pleased with progress

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli was happy with the way he developed his all-round game during last season. The 23-year-old netted just seven goals for Spurs last term, having managed double that tally during the 2017/18 season. However, Alli is content with what he achieved, especially as he was trying to improve on other facets within his play, as well as dealing with a number of injury problems. He told reporters: "It's been a great season for learning for me. I haven't scored as many goals or got as many assists, but other parts of my game - defensively, in possession - not just getting on the end of things and finishing chances, I think I've improved on that. "So next season, hopefully, it will all come together and I’ll get the goals, assists and keep the other parts of my game in the build-up play." Spurs can be backed at 4/6 with bet365 to finish in the Premier League top-four next season.
