Sixers welcome in the Celtics

Philadelphia are eyeing their first win of the campaign against Boston.

The Philadelphia 76ers continue their search for a first victory this season when the Boston Celtics are the visitors to the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday.

Winless and looking really bad in the process, the Sixers have the worst offense in the NBA and their -16.9 point differential per game is an astounding seven points more than Minnesota Timberwolves who hold the second worst total in the league. That the 76ers have a long-term plan is undeniable, but they also may claim the mantle of the worst team in NBA history should the losing continue at an historic pace.

The Boston Celtics arrive in town with their own rebuilding plan under way.

First in assists and third in scoring the Celtics are also 28th in points allowed and therefore a not surprising 3-6 in the early going following their 118-114 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday. Rajon Rondo fell an assist short of a triple-double and Jeff Green dropped in 28 points for the hosts at the TD Garden, but their respective plus/minus of -10 told the story.

Meanwhile atop the Atlantic Division the Toronto Raptors entertain the Memphis Grizzlies at the Air Canada Centre.

Blessed with the best record in the NBA, the Grizzlies have won four in a row including an extremely impressive 119-93 triumph over the Houston Rockets at the FedEx Forum on Monday. The trip across the border is a brief one-game affair for the Southwest Division leaders who return to Memphis to host the Celtics on Friday.

The Raptors are 26.00 to win the NBA Championship, while Grizzlies can be backed at 21.00.
