Rugby Union – Wallace thinks McGrath may get his chance

Ex-British and Irish Lions prop Paul Wallace believes Jack McGrath may be handed a starting spot when Warren Gatland's team face New Zealand in the series decider at Eden Park. The tourists overcame the 14-man All Blacks 24-21 last weekend to level the series up at 1-1. In that game Mako Vunipola received a yellow card and may be replaced by McGrath, who would start alongside Jamie George and Tadhg Furlong in the front-row. "Jack McGrath might be a superior scrummager, but Mako Vunipola gives a bit more around the park, especially with his ball-carrying," said Wallace. "With the build of the props these days, to play at that intensity and play for longer than 50 or 60 minutes, it's tough." The Lions are 7/2 with bet365 to win the third Test on Saturday while the All Blacks can be backed at 1/5 to triumph.
