Rugby Union – Upbeat Mallinder pleased with Picamoles

Northampton Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder is happy with the way Louis Picamoles has settled at the club following his arrival from Toulouse. The 30-year-old, who has represented France 54 times since making his international debut in 2008, has pleased Mallinder with his attitude. Mallinder said: "He's not been here long. He went on tour with France, so he had a few weeks off, but he came back a bit earlier as he wanted to get into the mix. "He wanted to get to know the lads and has settled in really, really well. We're very, very hopeful and looking forward to the season." Northampton, who finished a disappointing fifth in the Aviva Premiership last term, are 8/1 with bet365 to win the 2016/17 Grand Final and 28/1 to triumph in the European Champions Cup.
