Rugby Union – Kruis and Parkes head to Japan

England, 4/1 with bet365 to win World Cup 2023, second-row George Kruis and Wales back Hadleigh Parkes are to join Japanese Top League side Panasonic Wild Knights from next season. The duo are expected to link up with their new club in November in readiness for the new Japanese campaign which begins in January. Kruis has been capped 45 times by England and will leave the Premiership champions after 11 years of services, while New Zealand-born Parkes has won 29 caps for Wales, scoring five tries. The Saracens said that the decision to leave Sarries was a difficult one but he is excited to see what life in Japan brings. "Although this has clearly been a tough decision, I am extremely excited and honoured to take on this new challenge and chapter in my career," he said.
