Rugby Union – Gatland talks up Kiwi depth

Wales boss Warren Gatland says he will not be taking New Zealand lightly despite the All Blacks naming six uncapped players in the squad for their Test series in June. New Zealand have decided to blood some new players on the international stage, with back-rowers Elliot Dixon, Liam Squire and Ardie Savea, prop Ofa Tu'ungafasi, full-back Damian McKenzie and centre Seta Tamanivalu all named in Steve Hansen's squad. Despite the newcomers to the All Blacks set-up, Gatland says his Wales side, who are 16/1 with bet365 to win the series in New Zealand, will take nothing for granted against the world champions. He said: "There are definitely some excellent players but when you look through the number of caps and that there's a fair bit of inexperience in some of those positions as well. "If you take away Brodie Retallick and Sam Whitelock in the second row the others are reasonably inexperienced and there's not a huge amount of experience in the midfield too. "But you don't underestimate the All Blacks because they will be a quality side."
