Rugby Union – Ambitious Jones eyes top spot

England head coach Eddie Jones has reiterated before Saturday's Six Nations opener against France at Twickenham that he wants his team to be the best in the world. Jones has several injury problems to contend with heading into the tournament but has confirmed that Elliot Daly will play on the left wing this weekend while Maro Itoje will start a Test for the first time. Joe Launchbury and Courtney Lawes will be in the second row against Les Bleus. George Kruis has been ruled out with a knee injury while Nathan Hughes is at number eight in place of the injured Billy Vunipola. Mako Vunipola (knee) and Chris Robshaw (shoulder) look set to miss the entire tournament, while Anthony Watson (hamstring) sits out Saturday's game. "We've been able to select a very strong and experienced team to play against France and we are excited to get the tournament underway," said Jones. "We are ambitious and want to be the number one team in the world." England are 2/1 with bet365 to complete a second Grand Slam in a row while they can be backed at 1/8 to beat France.
