Rugby League – Losses start to worry McDermott

Head coach Brian McDermott accepts something has to change, having seen his Leeds Rhinos outfit suffer a seventh consecutive Super League defeat. The Rhinos, who are 9/2 with bet365 to win the Challenge Cup, were thrashed 46-8 by the Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium and McDermott admitted afterwards that some of the players in his injury-hit squad are learning the harsh realities of Super League rugby. He told reporters: "I could give you some cliches - there's still some life in us and we're not done yet. "That'd be true, but if you are asking am I concerned? For sure. We've just lost seven on the bounce and we can't keep doing that. "The most disappointing thing was how much it wasn't a contest. For too many patches of that game it wasn't a contest and that hurts."
