Pulis suggests Ideye could leave

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has hinted that he would be willing to sell Brown Ideye before the transfer window closes in just over two weeks’ time.

The Nigerian striker has struggled to settle at The Hawthorns following his £8.8million switch from Dynamo Kiev last summer and has only scored once, on Boxing Day against Manchester City, in 11 Premier League appearances for the Baggies.

The 26-year-old missed a gilt-edged chance in last weekend’s 1-0 win against Hull City and Pulis admits the striker needs a goal to restore his confidence.

The boy can’t buy a goal at the moment.

“If someone comes in and offers an enormous amount of money then the club will look at it,” said the former Stoke City and Crystal Palace boss.

“That will be the same with every player. Every club I’ve been at has always worked that way.

“If something comes up on the table then you sit down and you look at it and you take a view whether it is right for the club, or not.

“He has got a cloud hanging over him at the moment. If we could lift that cloud from him and release him a little bit then we’d be fine. He needs a goal, that’s what he needs more than anything else. The boy can’t buy a goal at the moment and that’s what he needs.”

West Brom, 4.33 to be relegated this season, face Everton on Monday. Albion are available at 12.00 to win the Goodison Park clash 1-0, with Abeye 4.00 to score at any time in the encounter.
